[IN CONVERSATION 🇬🇧] What do we lose when the fashion histories of African communities go undocumented? Since 2020, Archives Ivoire (@archives.ivoire) has been building an answer between Paris and Abidjan: an inventory of Ivorian feminine beauty drawn from television archives and women’s media. Not just collecting, but cataloguing and organising with a deliberate eye.

It is also the question at the centre of A LA MODE DE CHEZ NOUS (ALMDCN, @almdcn_), an observatory of African and diasporic fashion memory and narratives.

For NDAANE, ALMDCN founder and researcher Eniola Telly (@eniocentric) meets Marie-Hélène Tusiama Banimbadio (@m_ariehbt) and Tiphaine Tano (@___tiphainetano) to revisit six years of archive-building, dress as political language, and the vision of a project rooted at home and built to better speak to the world.

A conversation about memory, creative infrastructure, and the reclamation of self-image.
