NNC GALLERY CHALLENGE 2025 — MEET THE FIRST FIVE CONFIRMED ANNUAL WINNERS

Five artists, five distinct creative practices joining Collective 25. Today, we begin introducing the confirmed winners of our Annual Challenge 2025:

Behind each name is a body of work, a series of choices, and a personal visual language that continues to evolve. Our annual selection considers these wider artistic journeys, looking for identity, consistency, and research with the potential to develop over time.

For these artists, joining Collective 25 marks a new chapter within NNC Gallery, through curatorial work, publications, and the presentation of their practices to our international network of artists, curators, galleries, and collectors.

Over the coming weeks, we will introduce their work alongside the other annual winners. Announcing a name is only the beginning: our role is to give space and context to the artistic practice behind it.

The journey begins with our monthly selections. Artists who pass the initial preselection may proceed to the Monthly Challenge. Monthly winners then advance to the Annual Challenge, through which the artists joining Collective 26 are selected.

For Body of Evidence, we opened our doors to art, artists and new ways of seeing the objects and spaces around us.

Each artist brought something entirely their own to the room, and we loved seeing so many of you come by to experience it.

A big thank you to everyone who shared their work with us, and those who joined us.

And a special thank you to everyone who added to the evening

An exhibition changes when you hear the artist speak about their work. Day 2 of Body of Evidence moved from looking to listening.

With the artists present, the curatorial walkthrough offered deeper insight into the works, their processes and the ideas that brought them into the exhibition.

Swati nerding out on cheese and fungi, Mohit fascinating us with how he sculpts with concrete, Oishi going in-depth about the hedonistic amounts of tomatoes in her collages, Nakul juxtaposing his pursuit of joy with how intrinsic pain is to the process, Sneha decoding the different feelings different colours can evoke, Deeya talking about the importance of collaboration, Deeksha opening up about taking up space, and Anmol making us feel absence through her work.

As the walkthrough came to a close, the evening shifted gears with @directdrive___ on the decks and drinks by @dewars and @sepoyandco.

This was a reaaalllyy good day! 🤍
