Fast cars have always been a part of my life ! The Ferrari Enso , F40 and the Testarossa favourites always , BUT to actually have the opportunity to meet and drive my new fav (the new testarossa )is just an unreal experience!! We had the most beautiful journey from Bombay to Delhi with over 2015 kms, five days, an awesome, hectic and a once in a life time experience that I’ll be telling everyone for the foreseeable future! 2 Races 2 Podiums 🏆 My debut in car racing is something I am very proud of. Racing for the first time in the beautiful Polo Cup cars is like a dream come true. A dream I have been working towards my whole life since i was 6-7 years old. The weekend started off with me taking pole. That put me in a very good place to be competitive. Race 1 started off well with me building a strong lead. However I made the mistake of pushing too hard too early. That meant I didn’t have enough tyre grip towards the end of the race and was overtaken and finished P2. Race 2 was a reverse grid. Starting from P4, i worked my way to the front of the field in just 2 corner during the start of the race but a technical issue towards the end of the race meant that I was not able to push as much as I wanted to and finished P2 Overall, Round 1 of the Polo Cup was a very strong weekend. Looking forward to Round 2 where I will be using my learnings from this round to push for the win. Forever grateful to my parents @hemantshah3377 and @nehahemantshah and my whole family. They are the reason I am where I am today. Thank you to my coach, @ojas_surve for being there throughout testing and making me feel comfortable in this beast of a racecar, it wasn’t possible without you. Thanks to @sauravbandyopadhyay and @chavan_dhruv for helping me with the car and driving during all my testings and practice sessions. Thanks to all the mechanics and the technical team for working on the car. And finally, thank you to everyone who has stood by me, cheering me on through the years. Some debuts are hard to forget. Aditya Patnaik’s first weekend in the MRF Formula 2000 Series at the Madras International Circuit was exactly that! Aditya delivered a remarkable display of pace and consistency among a strong grid. To step into the world of Open Wheel racing in a new machine and come away with a P2 qualifying and three consecutive P2 finishes is no small feat. It’s a testament to Aditya’s composure and the hard work behind the scenes. And this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of JA Motorsport. Brand Special We took Škoda’s flagship model, the Octavia RS, and set a benchmark lap time with it at the CoASTT high-performance track in Coimbatore. We then invited professional racing driver Ojas Surve to try and match our time with a standard-spec Kylaq. Although, there wasn’t much of a chance that Ojas could actually improve on our time in an entry-level sub-compact SUV, but the whole exercise proved that Škoda has put its storied motorsport DNA into every car it builds.
