As we wrap up “The Art of Creative Directing Workshop”, we reflect on an inspiring and insightful experience shaped by the incredible sessions led by our facilitators, @kola_oye and @ojurereoluwaa.

From creative direction for TV commercials and documentaries to content creation, the workshop was filled with valuable insights that challenged participants to rethink storytelling, strengthen their creative perspectives, and explore new approaches to visual storytelling.

Participants gained deeper insights into documentary filmmaking, TV commercial production, multi platform storytelling, and how brands can create meaningful and lasting connections with their audiences.

A huge thank you to our incredible partner @af.lagos, our facilitators, sponsors, volunteers, and, most importantly, the amazing participants who showed up with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and contribute to shaping Africa’s creative narratives.

I had such a wonderful experience at the ART OF CREATIVE DIRECTING WORKSHOP.

I met amazing people, from working together, to building a relationship with the people at the event.

Two things from many things I wrote:
Never chase viral moments.
Show the quality of the person you are through your work.

These beautiful words are from the amazing people I met.

.You could be one of the best creative directors but without learning how to manage other creatives on set you’ll get stuck on the Creative world.
Creative directing isn’t just about giving commands, it’s basically about being involved in every part of a project down to the post production.

Don’t be so quick to take on titles, be more focused on acquiring the skills first.
It’s great to work with people and feedbacks because you can’t know it all.
