5 Squat Variations you need to increase your vertical jump performance!!

#volleyball #athlete #vertical #physicaltherapy #lifting

:10s Eccentric Front Squat: teaches the athlete to own and control all aspects of the movement from a technical standpoint, and a great option for beginners and early resilience from tendons and soft tissue structures with jumping

:10s Eccentric Front Squat w/4-7/10 RPE: begin adding load to the squat to further develop neuromuscular control in deep ranges associated with positions and patterns of volleyball

Front Squats w/ :04s Eccentrics: reducing the length of the eccentric phase allows for increased load to be used and develop tendon stiffness and strength qualifies -
things start getting heavy and fun!!

Front Squats w/ High Speed Eccentrics: an advanced method used to train the muscles and nervous system absorb high velocity movements, improving power and reactivity

Banded Box Squats: an in-season staple using accommodating resistance to produce force FAST, accelerating through the squat to maximize vertical power for approaches, blocking, and changing direction at the net and back row

SURPRISE!
After a lot of prayer and consideration I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to play volleyball at Randall University!! Thank you Jesus for this opportunity to continue playing the sport I love. Thank you Heat volleyball and Mattie Farris especially for pouring into me the last 6 years. Thank you to my parents for all of the sacrifices you made to get me to this point. And of course a big thank you to Coach Mike and Coach Katelyn for giving me this opportunity!
Go Saints!!!💙💙

The college volleyball recruiting process can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming, confusing, and full of unanswered questions.

As a former college volleyball player, I’ve experienced the recruiting process from start to finish, and I know what college volleyball is REALLY like. That’s why I’m passionate about helping athletes a few steps behind me navigate their own journey with confidence.

Join me on July 11th for a recruiting clinic designed to give athletes and their families the knowledge, tools, and confidence to tackle the recruiting process.

🏐 Limited spots available!

DM me with any questions or register using the link in my bio!

Well that’s a wrap for my first season as a head coach. So proud of my girls for placing 3rd overall at regionals… along with several 1st place finishes throughout the season. Blessed to have been given the opportunity to develop these sweet girls not only as athletes, but also as young women.
Thank you for all the support from everyone this season, love ya’ll and my heat family so much 🫶🏻🔥
