It’s a bizarre case investigators are still trying to piece together...

An Oklahoma man was allegedly buried in the backyard of a home he shared with his fiancée and her sister — but neither woman has been charged for his death.

Troy Tolton was reported missing on Aug. 13 by his daughter after she hadn’t heard from him in days.

What investigators discovered months later unraveled a slew of details suggesting his fiancée, Agnes Crenshaw, knew more than she was letting on.

After weeks of interviews, police discovered that Tolton and Crenshaw had been arguing the day he disappeared. Crenshaw was reportedly the last person to have seen him alive.

Police also uncovered that Crenshaw and her sister, Monica Pacheco, rented an excavator that same day.

Investigators believe that excavator was used to bury Tolton in the backyard of the home the three shared.

Investigators say their work isn’t done and that they’re still trying to figure out what happened to Tolton after finding his remains on Oct. 13.

As of now, Crenshaw and Pacheco are in prison, charged with desecration of a human corpse and unlawful removal of the dead.

Neither woman has been charged with murder or homicide.

His family has one simple question: Why?
