We are indeed in powerful company tonight as we celebrate Jill Castilla as No. 21 among American Banker’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking! Swipe to meet our guests! Our table includes friends, partners, and advocates whose work gives us plenty to celebrate alongside Jill. From supporting her congressional testimony to helping us better serve military families and champion local businesses, the impact at this table is felt both in Edmond and across our nation. Thank you, American Banker, for recognizing Jill’s leadership and the impact of community banking. #MPWIB #AmericanBanker

🩷 POP into HHI tomorrow, 10/21, for a special @okcsweetsbakery pop-up benefiting @project31com! Sometimes social media brings people together in the most meaningful ways. Our owner, Katelynn, and Stefanie, owner of OKC Sweets Bakery, connected through their shared breast cancer journeys and the same doctor who cared for them. Now, they’re coming together to support other women navigating their own journeys. 🩷 🍪 Cookies are $5 each, with proceeds supporting Project 31 and their mission to uplift women facing breast cancer. Come grab a sweet treat, support an incredible cause, and celebrate women supporting women. We can’t wait to see you! #BreastCancerAwareness #WomenSupportingWomen #HenryHomeInteriors #OKCSweetsBakery #Project31

A few weeks ago we received an email from a lady in California inquiring about a Minnie Mouse cake for her niece’s 4th birthday. In the email she told us that it was a special birthday, because her niece had brain cancer, they were out of treatment options, and this might be the last birthday they had with her. We found out shortly after that the precious little girl was actually the daughter of our @fedex driver James. James is the best delivery driver ever, works insanely hard- six days a week- to make ends meet for his family and for the past two years, they have been doing everything they can to find treatment for and to care for their daughter. I had no idea when I made this cake that I would get a phone call from James a few days later that his beautiful baby girl, Khalani, is now in end stages of life. She’s no longer able to breathe on her own and their family needs all the love, support, and prayer as they navigate the future. Our friends from @refinery_okc set up an amazing go fund me a year or so ago to help with expenses they needed at the time as they were navigating so much uncertainty. Our hearts are broken with James and his family, and while we cannot take away the pain, we can help ease the financial burden, so they are able to focus on their family during this time. We’ve started a @gofundme now to help with end of life expenses. If you can give, please do. Please share. And please pray. Donate at the link in my profile or here: https://gofund.me/7ab542d00 Thank you, my friends. 🫶

We are all about pink this month! And grateful to Stephanie and @okcsweetsbakery for supporting those served through OPW and our medical partners. As a breast cancer survivor, it is a cause close to her heart. Stop by tomorrow and treat yourself while making it possible for our uninsured neighbors to access mammograms through any diagnostics or surgeries needed.
