I tend to fall down the wellness rabbit hole and take things just a little too far and my kitchen ends up looking like a supplement laboratory.
My daily smoothie making started as a full-blown science experiment, but I’ve since mastered the art💫

Plant protein. Antioxidants. Every Superfoods you can imagine. Adaptogens. Greens… the whole gang is here.

More ingredients than I can count, 3 different shades of green and a blender fighting for its life.

Am I slightly unhinged when it comes to getting all the goodness in? Absolutely. If it has a nutritional benefit, I probably want it in there.

And yes, it usually looks questionable enough to make you think twice before taking a sip.

But to everyone who has had the fortunate opportunity to experience one of my creations… you know. It looks like a science experiment, but I’ve yet to receive a complaint.

comment DEEPDIVE and i’ll dm you the link to my full YT vid on this topic bc i could CHAAAT about this for hours 😂🌱 what do you think of stealth vegan tactics?

could dropping the vegan label get more people eating plant-based? or are we letting the stigma win? i’m a bit on the fence on this one so i’d love to hear some more thoughts!

📍 OKJA, Spitalfields
🥐 Cinna Swirl - 7.99/10
🏃🏼‍♀️ 12.17km

What a GLORIOUS run in the sun ☀️ Final long-ish run before the big race next week and finally a run where I actually felt good hahaha.

Started in Battersea and headed along the Thames through Vauxhall and Westminster, then along the South Bank before crossing Millennium Bridge with the beaut St Paul’s view and making my way east to Spitalfields. London was really showing off 🥹

My GPS however was being a bit dumb. I did NOT run 4:48/km 😂 I was actually around 5:12/km.

Finished at @okjacafe and went for the Cinna Swirl. The first bit was actually pretty dry and I was thinking hmmm… but then I kept unravelling it and it just got better and better. By the middle it was v yum with loads more cinnamon goodness and creamy icing. And despite being vegan 😂 7.99/10.

Now we TAPERRRR. Big race next week 😭

Five independent coffee shops in London - Nagare, Frequency, Compane, Spring Valley, and Okja.

This is exactly why I’m building Coffee Atlas - finding places like these is the whole point. Waitlist’s in bio if you want in early.

Okja opened earlier this summer but wasn't captivated until now because of the sausage roll.
The sausage roll got my attention because it was visually a roll but different.
I didn't even know it was vegan which was why I hesitated to buy it.
Turned out delicious however there is a slight usual soya bitter taste which most people won't notice and it has a marmite/beer like umami.
The texture is a bit like mashed soft tofu scramble and there were some annoying pumpkin seeds in it which might scratch your throat but was told it contains walnuts.
Might try the cheese someday.

I’m still thinking about these pastries 🤤🌱 Huge, beautifully made and completely plant-based. The cinnamon, chocolate and pistachio were all incredible — and the chocolate one was something else! 🇬🇧💚
