It feels good here. 🌿✨

A little slower. A little softer. A little more connected.

Welcome to Beauty & Chill, a beautiful women’s half-day retreat hosted by our favorite frenchie Amelie of OLALA Events, tucked away in Sarasota’s Sapphire Shores neighborhood.

A peaceful little escape designed for women to slow down, reconnect with themselves, connect with other women, and simply enjoy being present.

Think lush gardens, a beautiful pool, sauna, cold plunge, and all the little luxuries that make you forget about your to-do list for a while.

Today’s retreat brought together some incredible wellness experiences, including acupuncture, fire cupping, and body guasha by Dr Gisele @lumiraacupuncture , facial massage techniques by Cinthya @evolvespasrq , sound bath by Jackie @jackieb.rootedreverie , and of course, a little Squeeze magic! 💆‍♀️

Teagan and I had the pleasure of bringing Squeeze Sarasota to the retreat, offering chair massages and helping these lovely ladies unwind.

There’s something so special about women coming together, making space for themselves, and supporting other local women and businesses.

More days like this, please. 🫶

P.S. Did you know Squeeze Sarasota offers private events? From intimate wellness gatherings to corporate events and special celebrations, we’d love to bring a little Squeeze to yours!

💌 Message us for details.

Something you may not know about me is that I spent nearly 2 decades afraid to do the very thing I loved most. Singing. I was professionally trained, performed in New York, recorded albums, and somehow became terrified of being seen and heard.

And I wonder how many women can relate to that, even if they’ve never stepped foot on a stage.

I’m 49, a mother of seven, and still discovering parts of myself I didn’t even know existed. I love being ridiculous, laughing until my stomach hurts, having deep conversations, singing, dancing, and occasionally making people wonder what on earth I’m doing. 😂

One thing I’ve learned is that just because someone hasn’t seen a certain side of you doesn’t mean it wasn’t there all along.

That’s a big part of why I created Cabaret Community. To bring women together through music, theater, dance, storytelling, creativity, and connection.

And here’s what I’ve discovered. The most interesting part of our show isn’t always what the women are performing. It’s what they have to say.

These women have lived incredible lives. They’ve loved, lost, raised families, started over, made mistakes, and have stories you’d never imagine just by looking at them.

And when you give a woman a microphone and the opportunity to tell her story, you might be surprised.

Our Sarasota Cabaret Community Season 3 shows are October 26 and November 2, and I’d love for you to experience them.

Come for the singing, dancing, fishnets, beautiful costumes, and fun. But come ready to listen, too.

Because you never really know someone’s story just by looking at them. And you might be surprised by how much of your own you hear in theirs.

About last night..🥂🥹

My heart is still so full! So many friends came by to celebrate my new LISS Collection & the launch of CONFLUENT Issue No. 3 paired with a wine tasting - I laughed the whole night.

A huge thank you to Riley & Team from @sarasota_wine_co for putting together the most delicious wine tasting and hosting us!🥂🙌🏼

I found this quote yesterday & I 100% felt it: „You glow different when you have good people with good intentions in your life.“✨

🎥Thank you @ronipadua_photo for capturing the night! Love you so much!

BBC is a whole vibe. 🤍🤙🏾🖤

Yesterday we put on our BBC Live sunglasses, interviewed Tyler with my cohost DJ Truth, and had way too much fun. 😂

If you’ve never been to Business Blend Collective, it’s casual. It’s welcoming. Come as you are, meet some good people, and see what happens.

My favorite part is realizing how many people in this community I can call on. Someone to help, someone to connect me, someone to say, “I know a person.”

And getting to be that person for someone else? That’s just as special.

What a blessing to keep building relationships with people I get to learn from, laugh with, support, and cheer on. 🤍

Next up for Beyond the Blend podcast interview: Liss from Liss Art Design! She’s known for her incredible murals here in Sarasota and beyond, and she creates beautiful luxury art, too. I can’t wait for you to meet the woman behind the work.

Comment BBC and I’ll send you the RSVP link for our next meeting! Block it off in your calendar, we meet the first Wednesday of every month.
