Passing the torch to the next generation of Kodak Kids 📸✨

When planning my sister’s wedding, the groom really wanted that classic @kodak retro film camera look—and we needed a budget-friendly option. Enter these mini Kodak digital keychain cameras, inspired by the classic 1987 Kodak Fling!
We picked up 12 of them, one for each bridesmaid and groomsman, and let everyone go to town. Guests and the bridal party carried them around all night capturing candid photos and videos of the party. Afterward, we uploaded everything to a shared Google Drive for everyone to relive the night. It kept people present, in the moment, and created the most fun collection of raw, nostalgic memories.
We’re doing our part to keep that vintage camera spirit alive in the digital age! We even have an extra camera to pass on to the next “Kodak Kid”—our younger friend Justine! @justine.laye Can’t wait to see all the amazing memories she shoots with it 💛

Shoutout to @kodak @kodak_shootfilm for making these perfect little memory-makers!

“heart and bone” song & video are yours 🩵🦴

i’m not certain of much, but i am certain that we are all we have. i am also certain that uncertainty is both terrifying and liberating.

this one is so dear to me, as it is one of the first songs i ever wrote and produced on my own. it was originally titled “someday,” and just when i thought it was finished, a feeling in my gut told me this song needed the love of the additional collaborators that wound up perfecting it. younger gracyn could have never dreamed of this quality and beauty. i can’t thank everyone who touched this song enough.

written by me and @joshuakzook
produced by me and @justinglasco
additional guitars by @rosieugly
mixed by @ryanlipman
mastered by @tessgreenham
cover artwork painted by @emmacyr23

and, of course… @olavcarter_camera , your cinematography blows my mind. the incredible amount of gorgeous shots you took made this my hardest editing project to date. i’m proud of us!!!

i’ve wanted to create a choreographed music video ever since i watched “more like you” by one of my favorite artists @orlagartland as a teenager. when i learned that @holysmokephotography is not only a fantastic cinematographer and cinematographer, but also a phenomenal dancer/choreographer, we just knew what we had to make. you would never know this but @ashton.livesay ‘s outstanding performance was done while dealing with some incredibly difficult health circumstances, and i’m just so blown away at their strength and artistry that surpasses any physical barrier that may come their way. another shout out to this absolutely talented team of filmmakers. thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making this happen with me. it’d mean the world to all of us if u gave this project your eyes and ears. (you can find it on youtube, spotify, apple music, tidal…wherever you watch your music videos). it’d also mean a lot of you reposted this, shared the video with your friend, and continued to follow along for everything else i am creating. thank u for being here 🩵

today is my birthday, and i’ve never really been someone who enjoys celebrating myself, but this year feels different.

about nine years ago, i tried to end my life. i never thought i’d make it to this age, let alone to a life so full of music-making and creation. my life since isn’t a simple story of “i got help and got better,” but something much more complicated: a long, stubborn decision to keep going, for music.

it’s still not always easy. but i’m here. i’m making music. and along the way, i’ve found people who have become deeply important to me.

thank you to everyone who’s encouraged me to celebrate getting older. here are some snapshots of the last year of my life.

and happy mental health awareness month. stay alive.
