Comment WELD for tool links

Another cracked part that @old_bones_fabrications kindly asked me to repair on their behalf because like the Ferrari panel (reel link below 👇), they simply aren’t available.

I squeezed it in for them and plastic welded the crack back together.

They will prime and paint it themselves 👍

This job was all about keeping it small and as original as possible, so that’s what I set out to do.

The part is from a Ferrari, it is no longer available and if it was it would be a ridiculous price 💰💰💰💰💰

I was asked if I could repair it whilst keeping it localised?

Yes, I said and although it wasn’t as straight forward as I’d planned it in my head, it has come out well and when I’ve gently flattened off the top of the @proxl_na Tough Ox grain, given it a matte finish, it should blend in nicely 👍

Worked carried out on behalf of @old_bones_fabrications

Comment FERRARI to see part 1

Part 2 takes finishes off the repair.

I gently manually dry sand it back for more control, knocking back the course texture so it replicates (as close as possible) the original texture.

I did this using some 600 & 800 @kovaxeurope super Assilex on a block.

I carried out this repair for @old_bones_fabrications following their brief.
