you will lose the thread more than once. and more than once, you will find your way back. listen to your body, give it the rest it deserves to be able to return quietly to your inner wisdom.

BRENNEN team and friends screening at cosima filmtheater august 2026 // sitting in the middle of you guys, all of us excited to watch our film on the big screen, something hit me that i’m deeply grateful for - the time and space, the „room“ we all need to truly unfold ourself into the life we’re looking forward to live.

rahim, our protagonist, got all of this. we came together as a community, watching him run into the consequences of his own decisions. by this we became a part of this room and made it even bigger.

but this room is a privilege not everybody has. things are happening in our society, in our world, that shut people out from ever trying to live the life they want, the way rahim gets to.

thank you for coming by and creating a room that felt like enabling in these times. i’m still hearing all the loud chatter and laughter from this night <3

let’s stay tight and create room for the ones who don’t have it.

MoodDreams Review at Raindance Film Festival 2026

INTERVIEW: 'Thanks For Nothing,' Dir: Stella Markert Katharina

Ricky, Victoria and Malou live in an assisted living group. There they have built up an anarchic utopia as an alternative to everything they reject: parents, school, rules. With social worker Ballack as a half-hearted guardian, things go well until their “live and let live” agreement starts to falter

“Thanks For Nothing” goes @raindancefilmfestival and we couldn’t be more excited. Looking forward to see you in London.

“Stella Marie Markert’s remarkable first feature affectionately sides with its rebellious youth, achieving what is perhaps one of the most fun, palpable and honest depictions of girlhood to grace cinema screens in recent times.”

Wed, June 24th, 2:30pm
