Old Forest opened so many doors for me to pursue my love for music and media. Met A LOOOT of amazing people. People I’ve become friends with and people I even consider as family. People I look up to that inspires me to do better every day 💛

It all started in 2024. Nakakadalwang gig pa lang ako nun tapos pangatlo tong sa OFR in Feb. I forgot how I saw the poster, naalala ko na lang nagmemessage ako to shoot the benefit show sa @_rabbithole.ph (kamiss!!) Ang tawag ko pa kay kuys @podicruz ay sir 🤣🤣 SIR???! LOL

Naging consistent ako sa pagpunta sa shows then June 2024, I officially became a part of OFR. Promotion pala chz.

And 2 years have passed, here we are now. Nakakatuwa lang na sa shows lang din kami nagkikita kita pero it doesnt break that bond. And syempre ang favorite na mga lore at chismis 👀 And ofc bunot ako lagi 🤨

Actually, I was supposed to take a break this year to focus on my other projects. Nagpaalam na ako sa kanila. But I kept on coming back. I couldn’t fully let go (Parang papunta na sa iba to? jk 😫) Para akong nanghihina pag di nakakapaggig hahahahuhuhu and last weekend was supposed to be our last show. But then ang moody na panahon di nakisama. Hoping we still could do our final show. For one last time.

Salamat @oldforestrecordings

Kahit 2 years lang yon parang sobrang daming era ng buhay ko nasaksihan niyo. Lahat ng kabaliwan hanggang pag iyak gets.

Hindi kasya sa carousel lahat ng pitik sa loob ng mga taon na yon but here’s glimpse of the memories that honed me as an artist and as a person and I wish to forever keep them 🫂

The date was 22 July 2023, and beneath the rainy Saturday night in Katipunan lies the formal birth of Old Forest Recordings inside Unknown13 Pub.

bird. headlined the night, while Breē served as its penultimate number, and A.C.T. formally kicked off the show amidst the rainfall prior. Sunflower Station, Paper Satellites, and MOLA BLUE were among its bill of performer bands alongside OFR regular (from Day 1) band Trailing Noises.

3 years and 30+ shows later, Old Forest Recordings is bound to take its curtain call on the 29th of this month in (ironically) its first outing at Soda Monkey in Timog, Quezon City. Talk about closing a chapter of memories of celebrating music and serving communities on this final Saturday off August 2026. Hope to see y'all there.

It's been a pleasure, Old Forest.

Present at the start and still present at this time. The hazy-sounding indie rock band Trailing Noises could definitely claim themselves as an Old Forest OG (aside from Breē, of course) as three years from the maiden show, the joined the lineup for this production's 3rd Anniversary Show at Sari Sari.

The primetime hour approached by Saturday night and then came around the Saigon-bound Cinema Lumière for Old Forest Recordings's 3rd Anniversary Show at Sari Sari. It was sort of a despedida gig for these pop music alchemists before flying over the neighboring country of Vietnam and taking over the stages of No Headliner Side Quest alternative party by the following weekend.
