The 16th and final wave of McFarlane Super Powers. What a cool adventure we went on over the last 4 years. From searching Walmarts to delayed Amazon orders to random Ross finds to the ease of EE preorders. I agree that they didn’t exactly save the best for last or give us some of the figs we asked for when the line started, but this was fun. The Walmart display is overflowing and the attic is full of extra cases. I wonder what Mattel has in store but I am okay relaxing for a bit. _____________________________________________________ #superpowers #superpets #macfarlanesuperpowers #toycollector #toycave

My most marriage threatening purchase from today’s Gateshead Toy Fair - and another of my personal grails ticked off - a Kenner Super Powers Hall of Justice. As a significant added bonus this is in pretty beautiful condition and is still FACTORY SEALED. Like many of today’s most keen gamers the contents of this are untouched by human hand (since 1984 anyway). Paid a fraction of what this is worth as the seller was heading back to Seattle in the US and didn’t want to spend the cash to ship this over there with him. It had to be sold today = a deal to be done. Never imagined I would own this in any shape or form. To get a sealed one a at a bargain price just proves that ‘if you don’t look you don’t find’. Might be time for another ‘Hall of Grails’ update! Been making some decent progress on them in recent week. #dccomics #batman #superman #kennersuperpowers #vintagetoys

Exhilarating morning out at Gateshead Toy Fair today for the latest @northerntoyfairs event. Take a look at some of the stuff on offer! Tripping over grails, including a boxed and sealed Thirty Thirty from Bravestarr, carded Leo Toys Motu, a complete Fortress of Fangs…the list goes on. Major purchase made - to be revealed soon. #vintagetoys #retrotoys #toyfair #actionfigure #80stoys

The 1977 comic which inspired the 1984/85 figure, which inspired the homage by McFarlane in 2024. 47 years of milking the same cow! All joking aside, I am really pleased to finally add a MOC Kenner Super Powers Penguin to the Hall of Grails. Paid £85, which is a snip, because this might have the clearest and cleanest bubble I have ever seen on one of these. Not a 12 back but I can live with that…for now. Thought people might like to see the related comic and 2024 figure too. McFarlane did a fantastic job with the 2024 tribute to the Super Powers figure. Almost measures up to the OG, especially the face sculpt. #dccomics #superpowers #penguin #actionfigurecollector #comics

Finally came across this fella today @entertainer_toys Great looking figure. As with some of the others in this series the design is simple, clean, and redolent of the comic book versions of these characters which most people envisage when they think of them. Kenner Super Powersesque in that respect. I am told that this figure is flying off the shelves faster than any other, hence why it is proving hard to find in the wild. Selling more quickly even than Batman or Superman. Worried about the next few waves of these though. Mattel seem to be trying to pull off a late era Kenner impersonation by releasing nonsensical Batman variants rather than continuing with the classic designs which have made this line so successful so far. Give us a classic Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman etc etc! Learn the lessons of the past! #dc #theflash #mattel #actionfigures #toycommunity
