POV: Getting your certificate from The Old School!

We’re well into the new era of @theoldschoolbarberacademy which takes place here in our beloved barbershop. We’re grateful that we’ve been able to continue the school’s legacy from a place that is dear to not only us, but also our guests. Even though we’ve been doing this for many years, we’re so amped up about the fact that people from all over the globe are coming here to study with us.

The upcoming July course is sold out already, but we’ve got some more dates for you!

Put your palms together for the class of April!

Another packed edition at @schorembarbier, where classic barbering is lived every day.

Led by Gui and Cris, this group arrived eager to learn and left more focused, fully committed to our plan. From in-depth theory to practical application. The Holy Ashtray was all about intense concentration, proud faces and real progress.

From shop… to school!

Exactly one week ago, we turned the space where we usually create an exquisite experience for our customers into a backbone of shared knowledge. We’ve got to welcome people from all over te globe: South Korea, Argentinia, Switserland, Belgium, Canada, Italy, England and The Netherlands.

It’s so cool when we see our workspace transfer into a basis for education. So much happened in this place, it’s charged with our history. A true and electrifying feeling is present when we teach from here.

Thanks to everyone for making the effort to come and join us here in Rotterdam. Let’s keep sharing knowledge with eachother, as much as we can.

From all corners of the world… straight into the Holy Ashtray.

April’s class at @schorembarbier brought together a serious crew with barbers from Argentina, USA, Canada, Korea, Ireland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK. All with that same mindset; put in the work and master the craft.

Guided by @crisbarberia_ and @guiouriques, they spent two days breaking down the fundamentals of classic barbering, supported with structure, technique and the discipline behind the haircuts the Schorem crew is known for.

And it shows. Just look at those faces… proud, sharp, and ready to get back to work.
