Behind every great smart home is a rack that’s cleaner than your kitchen. 😎

This one’s running the whole show. Lutron HomeWorks handles lighting and shades, Sonos does whole-home audio with Sonance speakers, URC gives you one-touch control, IC Realtime keeps an eye on things, and a UniFi network ties it all together. Future Automation panels keep the wiring neat, with every cable labelled, every wire dressed, and zero spaghetti.

You’ll never see it, but you’ll feel it every time the lights, shades and music follow you room to room.

This family wanted a dining room that felt intimate and inviting, but they also needed to make much better use of the space.

The solution was a completely custom built-in that we designed specifically for this wall and around the existing windows. We incorporated window seats for additional seating, a bar for entertaining, glass shelving for display, and generous hidden storage for serving pieces, glassware and liquor bottles.

We carefully planned the proportions, cabinetry, shelving and finishes so this substantial piece would feel architectural and intentional, almost as if it had always been part of the home.

Then came the details: deep, moody cabinetry, warm brass accents, glass shelves and upholstered window seats that completely transformed the feeling of the room.

The result is a dining room that works so much harder for this family, but more importantly, feels like a place you want to settle into and stay awhile.

See where we started, our custom drawings, and how we brought the design to life.

🌺 Following the rapid completion of our first two fundraising campaigns, this
project is the first in a series of ambitious, multi-year philanthropic
initiatives aimed at transforming the historic St. Paul's School campus into
a breathtaking garden park inspired by the timeless beauty of Old Westbury
Gardens.

🌼 Physical progress is already underway. The Village of Garden City has utilized $30,000 of our $125,000 inaugural gift to fund a newly installed water main at the historic site for a future irrigation system.

None of this would be possible without our donors! Your generosity is what makes our mission possible. Together, we will preserve St. Paul's!

Say goodbye to the wall of switches. 👋

We’ve all seen it: a four- or five-gang dimmer box crowding the wall, with switches no one can remember the purpose of. It’s cluttered, it’s confusing, and it pulls attention away from everything else in the room.

A Lutron lighting control system replaces all of that with one clean, elegant keypad. ✨

🤍 **Crisp white glass** that sits flush and looks like it belongs in a gallery
🔩 **Refined metal finishes** like brass, bronze, nickel, and more, matched to your hardware and design
💡 **One touch sets a whole scene**, whether that’s “Welcome Home,” “Dinner,” or “Goodnight”

Your lighting should add to your space, not clutter it. Good design is in the details, right down to the wall plate.

The best projects are built through collaboration. For this Garden City home, every detail required design and construction to speak the same language. A shared standard, clear communication, and the right team brought it all together. A beautiful project, now complete.

Another sunny Saturday; another volunteer day at St. Paul's!

Back at the building was @oldworldqualitycorp. As workers continued masonry work and carpentry, @trusteemuldoon_gc took several of the Village Trustees on an "Update Tour" around the outside of the building.

When we thank our donors, we sincerely include those companies within the industry who have stepped up with 'in-kind' donations!

Each donation..... whether $50 or an 'in-kind' donation valued in the thousands of dollars..... is critical to the preservation of St. Paul's and is gratefully accepted!

Stay tuned to our website and social media pages for more exciting updates! Together, we honor the past and shape the future... by saving St. Paul's!
