This is not shot on infrared film, but it is 100% inspired by it 📸 I’ve always loved the look of infrared film so I thought I’d play around with color to create a different version of a classic African landscape 🦒

Sometimes, while editing, I’ll play around with the curves too much and weird things happen… This is one of those times 😅
.
Swipe for another portrait of Nora… It’s the type of edit I wouldn’t normally keep, but its soft, almost angelic feel seemed very fitting for a cheetah who has since passed on 🥹🕊️

We had only just entered the Mara when our guide spotted this leopard resting in a lone tree. It was around noon, no other cars in sight, very hot and no way to get closer. We sat in the vehicle and waited to see what he would do next. Not long after we found him, he climbed down and disappeared into the grass in the complete opposite direction from where we were.
Of course we had hoped that he would come our way so we could spend some more time with him, but nature had other plans.. and although it was a brief moment, it was definitely a beautiful one ✨

My favorite lioness in the Mara and so easily identifiable by those striking eyes. There’s just something about her gaze that feels impossible to describe ✨
