Tänään taas matkalla Helsinkiin muotinäytösasioissa, minkä vuoksi liike on SULJETTU PE 14.11. Olemme jälleen avoinna normaalisti LA klo 11-14, tervetuloa! #kisukorsi_official #kisukorsi_lifestyle #kisukorsi #couturefashion #finland #kansallismuseo

🇫🇮 Happy Independence Day Finland! 🇫🇮 Today we celebrate 107 years of freedom and pay tribute to the rich history, culture, and traditions that make our nation unique. As we honor the sacrifices made by those before us (like my great grand father who lost his life in Winter War) we reflect on our journey and the values that unite us: integrity, resilience, and community. 🤍💙 While we cherish our past, we also look forward to the future with an open mind. Let’s continue to foster a culture of inclusion, sustainability, and progress. Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow for generations to come. ✨ 📸: Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2023 @nwitawards in Reykjavik Iceland, where we Finnish finalists represented Finland with good energy. 💪🇫🇮 @kamillasultanovaworld @tove.myllari @anjana.sinha.india Laura McGrath @olesjafi #independenceday #itsenäisyys #itsenäisyyspäivä #finland #suomi #teamfinland #mylife #womenintechfi #mystyle #awards

Iceland is governed by nature, as told by my friend Dui. We reflected on understanding time and being rigid with plans and not flexible. Due to seismic activities and nature in Iceland, people are more laid back compared to Denmark where we lived and studied, or Finland where you are religiously on time or better have a good reason to be late. Women of Iceland deeply inspired me. The education minister spoke much of the reason why they need to run faster and keep being a beacon of hope and show how to 376,192 people. We enjoyed the ride to the summer house area and saw the coldest and deepest lake, the places where you can dive in crystal clear deep waters (Damn, it was so cold I wondered how much you need to be hungry for diving in such cold conditions.) During the Grindavik volcano eruption, I also witnessed and experienced the many earthquakes happening and the evacuation of 4000 residents where the eruption was most likely to happen. The @nwitawards made history in Iceland. I was here 20 years ago and back with a commitment to gender equality. Even though a generation has passed, I am so inspired, uplifted, and moved to see role models and be the door opener for many. These awards represent the ongoing fight for human rights, equity, and the full potential of intersectional women. Thank you, NWITA, for my experience as a global judge for last year's edition and this year's nomination for the Liva Echwald Award. Amidst these impactful moments, we celebrated Amina's 2nd birthday in the warmth of Geiser heated swimming pools. #nwita2023 #nordicwomenintechawards #iceland #livaechwald #diversityandinclusion #diversityintech #nordics #diversityinnordics @duiroberts #harpahalliceland

Nordic women in tech! Sisterhood & role models🥳🫶🏽🪬 Great event connecting intersectionally diverse Nordic women in tech and getting to know champions who are part of the same message: to create workplaces and communities that value talent equally and enable the best working conditions for recruitment and retention. Though I didn't take home the Liva Echwald Award, being part of the Finnish delegation was an absolute joy, especially with amazing individuals like @anjana.sinha.india @ilonaylinampa @annunieminen @tove.myllari @olesjafi and Laura McGrant of @lolalykke_formums We also "broke our own stereotype" and had all Finnish delegates and spouses seated at one table. We bonded, discussed real issues, and even started first on the dance floor. So as Olesja from Accenture says, we delivered! Congratulations to the well-deserved winners: Jenifer Clausell of Denmark, recipient of the Liva Echwald Award; Marianne Andersen, voted Women Tech Advocate of the Year; and a heartfelt shoutout to Chisom Udeze for earning Diversity Leader of the Year. Key takeaways from the event: 🖥️ Despite rapid tech advancements, dismantling stereotypes and biases is a work in progress. ❗Let's discard the 'good enough inertia,' quoting Eliza Reid. 👩 Expand our focus on larger intersectional diversity beyond gender – every woman can advocate for their area. Iceland’s Beddy Sonja Breidert encouraged us to "be in the business of producing role models by being one" and - I can also add - challenging Nordic values of jante law. The evening emphasized the various avenues to support women in tech, from fostering perseverance to ensuring easy access to STEM, having role models, and cultivating a strong sense of community. We all can and should contribute to this community. Embrace your role as someone's role model – be proud and conscious of it. Events like this show that unity prevails over differences, bringing together changemakers across diverse backgrounds, ages, and degrees. Here's to always supporting and uplifting each other! 🌟 P.S. Fill in your blank: What women () advocate do you want to be known for? #nwita2023 #nordicwomenintechawards2023 #iceland
