i feel so lucky to work with so many incredible people who help me develop my work. I wouldn’t be able to get anywhere without the help and support of my friends and colleagues, giving their time and energy to help me make theatre.

these are some of my favorite production photos from @lakehouseranchdotpng’s workshop of Deconstructing a Human Sacrifice this past weekend. I’m so astounded and always grateful to see how my work is brought to life on stage, even when I’m not in the room. All photos by @richardwellingtonlewis , our incredible resident artist and photographer.

This is probably the most vulnerable play I’ve ever written. I mean, the main character is a version of myself, or at least my version of myself. It’s kind of scary sometimes, watching another actor play you. It’s like the uncanny valley. And @olibaba_goob took me to that uncanny valley in her portrayal of me, and I thank her for that.

We have a SECOND workshop running up in New York in October. This time directed by @daintypyro. The script will likely change, as I’m hurdling through notes as we speak.

And if you’re in Miami, we still have three more shows of this production this weekend. Come through.

This is just a big sappy thank you post. Thank you @olibaba_goob , @singing_loudly , @river.iraida.estrada , @cornelius_p_quattlebaum , @siennarose.13 , @alext.mp3 , @birderos , Kaleb, Santiago, Abigail (I don’t know if you have Instagrams), @richardwellingtonlewis , and of course my fiancé @brandokthehut for letting me be the nepotism hire at @lakehouseranchdotpng

And All.. That… Jazz 🎷🎶💃🏾

Even though the pictures just doesn’t do the show justice. Finally a post for this GEM of a show. Being casted in this production was a HUGE eye opener for me in many ways. It brought me back to my core. Watching, learning and experiencing the cast and the creative team - I’ve gained so much from them. Couldn’t have asked to be apart of a better production. It truly changed my world At New world 👈🏾😆. THANK YOU CHICAGO! Until next time 🥳🤞🏾 #chicagothemusical #allthatjazz

this show was such an incredible journey. i learned a lot about myself through this process and grew so much as a performer and individual. it was an honor getting to play liz & tell her story, as well as be the understudy for miss velma kelly & have my own understudy show. i have so much love for all of my cast mates and my directors and am so proud of the story we told. i love you all so much & am so glad i got to end my new world career in this production with all of you. we sure gave ‘em the old razzle dazzle ✨

𝒦ℴ̈𝓈𝓏ℴ̈𝓃ℴ̈𝓂，ℋ𝓊𝓃𝓎𝒶𝓀

This post is long overdue but let’s blame it on the JAM PACKED semester and not my actual laziness lol

Anyways, participating in this production has been the most incredible privilege in my college experience. It gave me new experiences with valuable memories I will forever cherish. I’m so happy to have been able to take on the challenge of a Fosse dance show and expand my performance skills in his unique style of dance.

Fun aside, diving into the character that is Katalin Helinski is an educational experience to remember. Thank you @mattybuff for trusting me in stepping into the shoes of an innocent immigrant who came to the country in hopes of a promising future, only to be given the fate to execution. It has been a challenging yet touching experience. Coming from an immigrant family myself, I hope to have touched those who left to come here under inflexible circumstances.

I can’t thank every single person that was involved in this enough for everything.
Y’all are the best.

And all that jazz… ❤️
