very very late nyc trip post !!

i will miss death becomes her the musical so so much. i had such a joy getting to know and love such amazing people through it!! meeting the best friends a girl could ever have has brought me so much joy from when there was 20 of us in a tiny discord server to so many of us being there when i first got to meet megan hilty and to the final show where we gave out so many standing ovations that my hands hurt. i will cherish each and every moment that this musical has brought me and i am ready to see it live again on tour!!

added some extra photos of my broadway experiences and beach day with my favorite person <3

siempre viva ✨💜

— it’s been a whole week since death becomes her took it’s final bow and i’m genuinely so so sad about it 💜

the show that finally got me to broadway because i was not going to miss jennifer simard and megan hilty leading such a girl power musical. i did it. and then i flew back to new york city from london another three times since last august. i’ve seen so many cast combinations and have had some of my most favourite live theatre experiences because of this show.

the friends, the validation, the reignition for a love of performing, the visibility; there is so much to be grateful for. i don’t want to get too soppy, but i have loved musicals since i was small, and the only other musicals i have had such a deep special connection with are mary poppins and the sound of music. death becomes her has earned a special place in my heart as a girl in her late twenties in the same way that mary poppins and tsom did when i was six.

thank you @deathbecomesher for being my happy place. thank you @bwolfepack and @thejennifersimard and that gorgeously talented cast for bringing the joy and giving us the magic of live theatre. most importantly, thank you to all the wonderful WONDERFUL friends i have made because of this silly beautiful show about the spooky magic drink.

siempre viva; i’m so fucking glad we did this x

To my forever theater buddy: thank you. Thank you for everything. I met you at 19 years old in one of my most broken, shattered states, and yet you chose me…little terrified, closeted me. Here we are almost nine years and two huge moves across the country later, and I would not change a single second. You told me that you wanted to be with someone who was proud to be with you and not someone afraid to hold your hand because of the looks I might get. Well, if I get looks for being in the healthiest, most loving relationship of my life then so be it. Happy pride babygirl ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ thank you

Thank you for welcoming me into your fandom worlds, specifically that of @deathbecomesher and @thejennifersimard ! I have consistently met the best people in the world because of you, and for that I can’t thank you enough. I love you, Alyssa.

🎶 You’re my person: forever, always and true. I’ll paint your a*s. I’ll help you stay…alive forever!! 💜💜💜

Eternally grateful to have experienced Death Becomes Her during its monumental Broadway run. This show was a never ending stream of light, laughter, and sense of belonging. All of the creatives involved at DBH should be so immensely proud of what they have produced here. From top to bottom, the show was (is) an absolute masterpiece of theatre and the end of this era will definitely leave a Helen Sharp sized hole in my heart. Thank you @thejennifersimard for being you and for sharing your Helen with us. I am forever in awe of you and will miss swooning from the audience. #womanofalltime ❤️

I also never anticipated my silly solo trips to the theatre would turn into such a strong queer sisterhood. I didn’t find my person… I found my people. And now I think I have a friend from every corner of the world!

Siempre viva divaaaaass ⭐️💜⭐️💜⭐️

A weekend better than any dream 💜✨

I had the most amazing time in NYC with the most gorgeous group of people, all brought together for our shared love of all things Simard. This weekend has been the escape from reality I never knew I needed and how lucky am I to now have friends across the world. A little piece of my heart is with you all and the rest is at the Lunt Fontane.

* I still don’t have the words to describe how grateful I am to have not only seen Simard shine on stage but also to have met her, I once wished this all on an 11:11 ✨

* The Lunt fontane… I’ll be back x

* Theatre kid dreams of dinner at Sardi’s

* I swear she looked into my soul and I’ve not seen it since.

* White plains didn’t know what hit it 🔥

* When Simards says see you tomorrow, you follow the orders and end the trip with one final DBH.

* Liv doing the lords work, as always x
