One of the things I love most about making pasta is how a simple piece of dough can become so many different shapes.

These are barchette — little boats. 🇮🇹

A small piece of pasta, shaped by hand with a simple pinch and a little patience. I love the slightly imperfect look of each one — that’s exactly what makes handmade pasta so beautiful.

And of course, that little hollow in the center has a purpose: it’s made to hold the sauce. 🤌

They also have super fun pasta classes that are very educational and hands on! Every step is explained in detail and you’ll have such fun time getting your hands in there

I went to a class and ended up going rogue but at the end I got some sauce and other ingredients to cook my bra ravioli lol

David and I spent the day learning the art of handmade pasta from our talented friend Marco with @olio.and.olive . It was equal parts informative and fun, and let’s just say nothing beats the taste of fresh pasta made from scratch. 🍝

Of course, we couldn’t leave empty-handed. Our kitchen is now officially stocked with the good stuff: artisan cheeses, olive oil, marinara, truffle flavored almonds and Italian Nutella (yes, there is a difference!) 🤤
