Eclipse Installation, Draaimolen 2026

Still enjoying the aftermath of last weekend. Thank you for all the messages about this piece!

The installation was designed as a moment of pause at Draaimolen Festival, titled Eclipse. An eclipse is a moment of interruption and for a few minutes light falls, temperatures drop, and everyone stops to look at the same thing. This is the closest we still come to the rituals that
once gathered people around the sun.

The intervention restages that pause in a forest clearing. A draped fabric canopy holds the space, an invitation to lie back and rest. The platform beneath carries low-frequency energy which is felt through the body rather than heard.
Above, a halo of light flickers and responds in rhythm with the vibrations below: radiance
passing behind shadow. The installation is about asking of visitors to stop and watch the light
change together, and to feel a deeper connection with the forest and our place in the world.

Thank you to the hard work from all involved: Eliza, Rikard, Defne, Pablo, Paul, Ali, Fabin

Night shots of Eclipse at @draaimolen_

The lighting reflects the energy and resonance from the earth and surroundings, as a way to connect with the site. Imagined as a place to contemplate and come together around a un-natural event.

EBBA was selected as one of a select visual artists to develop a piece for the festival.

Thank you again to the incredible team who made this happen!

Film of Pulse Installation, Houghton (re-edit)

Coinciding with the second instal of Pulse at @houghtonfestival this month we are sharing an updated film that captures the atmosphere of the piece. Pulse is a site specific work that helps create a closer connection with the forest environment. We are excited to see this up for a Gold award by @framemagazine (more via link in bio).

Thank you to the organisers and everyone involved in the delivery of the project, as well as all the people that have messaged about it!!

Plug in and listen to the film, produced from sounds captured from the trees on site at Houghton.
