🦉🗯️ ANYONE FOR A THROWBACK???

We’re feeling a little nostalgic for the 2025 Slate Festival as we gear up for the 2026 Slate Festival! We had such a blast last year and hope you’ll join us again this year :)

Each night you will have an opportunity to experience the work of our returning artist, Almost Through April, along side performances from Cam MacGregor, Lou Sementilli, and Scott Yoo Ryu! And the night doesn’t end after these performances!! Join us after the show for a talk back with all these stellar artists. Talk to them about their process, what you liked about their work, and anything else your heart desires. Many of these pieces are still in development, so the artists want to hear from YOU directly. 3 days of music, theatre, reflection and JOY!!!

Sooo… say you’ll be there, at The Slate, October 15 - 17 at The Green (36 James Street, St Catharines).

Tickets on sale NOW! Check the link in our bio :) PWYC tickets will be available at the door, pending seat availability.

BACCHAE IS OUT AND AVAILABLE TO WATCH ON YOUTUBE !!! after 8 long and difficult months working in quarantine and on top of online school, Oliver, Lillie and I have finally released our campy, spooky, (not so short after all) found footage horror film project !!! Never have I taken on editing and producing a project quite this big, and it certainly challenged me, but I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful team !! I appreciate each and every one of you !! Can't wait to hopefully work together again in the future !! 🥰💛 #35mm

A quick recap of the 47th annual Rhubarb! Photos by @henry.chan.photo

47 years of weirdness, art that transcends genres, and an abundance of creativity. We couldn’t have done it without our performers and patrons!

In case you missed it, here’s a quick recap:

💫 15 live art projects featuring 20+ incredible artists across 4 nights!

💫 We introduced Rhubarb! After Dark! Where Grrrl Spells hosted their Inaugural Wrath Month show, and We Quit Theatre screened Men Explain Things to Us… and We Like It!

💫 All the way from the UK (yes, I wrote that because it rhymed), Wet Mess performed their touring project TESTO

See you next year 👽

TOMORROW! Transfigure/Transfix @ Rhubarb! 47 @buddiesto 🎙️❤️‍🩹

Transfigure/Transfix is an audio play by Jessie Walker and Oliver Pitschner. In this sexy early-2000s tale of romance, magic, and funerals, barista Tuesday and shapeshifter Vesper will explore needing people and being needed in the way only messy queers can. The audio play is accompanied by Sophie Parisi’s visual animation and illustration work Fester/Ferment, exploring repetition and collecting, wanting and desire, remembering and re-remembering, and finding the same feeling over and over again in different places.

❤️‍🩹 Featuring performances by @jonnie__lombard @trash_star @bronwynkeough @the_smallest_bear

❤️‍🩹 Sound design by @al._.ison

❤️‍🩹 Dramaturgy by @thisislaralewis
