🚨Ladies and Gentleman I want to welcome the newest soldier into the West Virginia Army National Guard PVT Ayla Bradley!!! She enlisted as a 13J Fire Control Specialist with B Battery 201st here in Morgantown.

Ayla is originally from Elizabethtown, PA, graduating from Elizabethtown Area High School. She played volleyball at her high school along with a travel team competing all over. She is now a freshman at West Virginia University working on Pre Nursing requirements to start the nursing program after she gets back from training.

With Ayla enlisting in the National Guard she will no longer have to worry about paying for tuition here at WVU. The minute she joined she was no longer paying Out-of-State Tuition Rates ($30,432) but instead the In-State Rate ($10,752), which we cover 100% of with the $14,500 a year he gets from Tuition Assistance. To make life more comfortable at college she will be receiving monthly pay checks of $493 for the GI Bill, $350 for the GI Bill Kicker, and a drill pay check of $250; giving her over $1,100 a month for one weekend of work. On top of all that she qualified for a $20,000 bonus!

Ayla has family that has served prior to her and she gets to continue carrying on the tradition in the way that best fits her goals. She was eager to take on the challenge of artillery which I love seeing especially since she also showed her roommate these benefits and she is working on joining with the same job and hopefully same unit as well! I look forward to seeing you grow and develop on your journey with the WV National Guard.
