No legacies given. We’re out here earning our own — and bringing back times, banners, and rings to back it up. 🏆

The Sea Gulls made history in 2026. For the first time, our men sent relays to the NCAA Championships, then shocked the field and came home with TWO All-America relays, including First Team All-America honors in the 200 Medley Relay.

The women made history of their own, qualifying the first NCAA relays in program history and bringing 11 Sea Gulls to the national stage.

Five NCAA relays. Two All-America finishes. A year full of firsts. No legacy given. All of it earned.

Before 2025, Salisbury Swimming had produced just two NCAA qualifiers in program history.

Then came Sydney McCallie @s.mccal_

A 24-year NCAA drought came to an end, and Sydney became the first NCAA All-American in Salisbury women’s swimming history.

So, naturally, we decided it was time for an NCAA banner. We started with three names. Then came 2026.

17 athletes qualified for NCAAs. Our first relays in program history qualified. And we came home with nine new All-Americans.

There was just one problem with our new banner…

1. We didn’t account for any relays 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️
2. We’re almost out of room for individuals in 2027 😅🙃

We think this is a great problem to have… Working on a solution!

The Standard: We know how to close 🫰

We train to be at our best when fatigue sets in. To close a race. To finish a meet. To find another gear when the finish line is in sight. And on the final night of the 2026 NJAC Championships, that showed, earning gold in four events, including three first-time NJAC champions!

🥇 Addi Wood | 1650 Freestyle
🥇 Maddie Powell | 200 Breaststroke
🥇 Olivia Polucha | 200 Butterfly
🥇 Women’s 400 freestyle relay

But those outcomes weren’t earned on that final day in February. They were earned through achieving our standard: everyday in every practice, every race opportunity, and every chance to finish stronger.

The final margin: 647.5 points, the largest margin of victory by any men’s or women’s team in NJAC Championship history.

Salisbury Swimming more than tripled its program record for CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, with 10 Sea Gulls earning @cscaa1922 First-Team Scholar All-America recognition for the 2025-26 academic year.

The women led the way with a program-record seven selections: Lily Griffin, Maddie Powell, Addi Wood, Rachel Rickabaugh, Alexa Hilty, Jenna Krawlzik, and Olivia Polucha.

On the men’s side, Mason Potts, Owen Brewer, and Michael Paulos each earned First-Team honors.

Addi Wood becomes the first swimmer in program history to earn NCAA First-Team All-America status and CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-America honors in the same season. Maddie Powell gets an upgrade this season, earning her second CSCAA honor (Second team, 2024-25) but her first-ever as a First Team selection.

Paulos, Potts, and Brewer become the first men in program history to call themselves both athletic All-Americans and Scholar All-Americans in the same season, setting a new benchmark for the Sea Gulls.
