This past weekend I was fortunate enough to not only play but win the 4th annual Alvernia High School Tournament. My team consisted of girls from all over Berks, Schuylkill, and Lehigh County and we finished with a 5-1-1 record and conceded one goal. I would like to thank Coach Amanda Bezner and the Alvernia Women’s Soccer team for putting on such a great tournament!

USYS 2026 Nationals in Nashville Tennessee! We won, we loss, we scored, we got scored on and made memories on and off the field that we will cherish forever and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else by my side. I’m so thankful for this amazing opportunity to travel and play against the best teams across the country.

“Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened” is a quote my dad likes to say. I could not be more happy and grateful for the coaches and teammates that I have had the past 8 years of my life. This team has given me friendships and memories that I will cherish forever. There are 4 girls that have been with me since the very beginning when we lost horribly, but we were the real winners because we had fun, and made it unforgettable. I’m so glad to see what we built and our journey to nationals. This last ride in Tennessee was the best I could’ve imagined. I’m so glad that I got to finish my last season as a co-captain with my girls Liv and T. I would like to thank Coach Amanda for everything you have done. You have believed in me, supported me, and stood by my side every step of the way. I want to thank you for pushing me to the best of my abilities and making me into the player I am today. You never fail to light up the room and your personality is something I’ll truly miss. I would also like to thank Coach Paul, who is my dad. You have never failed to take me to practice or any extra training opportunities you could find. You never fail to help me become the best version of myself on and off the field. I know you will no longer be my coach, but I also know that your support for me will never change. Now, I turn a page and enter a new chapter. I truly wish this team the very best, and I can’t wait to see what greatness you do. “Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.” With all that said, the chapter of 99 ends.

Olivia Chipriano starts the play by winning the punt from the other team, settling the ball beautifully, and driving hard to the corner. She gets the cross off and finds Maddie Soderberg, who heads it back across to Leah Weitzel. Leah finishes it with a beautiful volley into the back of the net.
