SUMMER AND WEDDINGS AND THE FAIR AND FRIENDS

No your eyes are not deceiving you! I’m an excessive person and I couldn’t fit all my favorite good/bad photos of people I love into one post!! Y’all mind if I cherish you???

Also, apparently you can only tag 20 people in one post which is not ideal, so I did my best with what I had. Tags are not based on science nor my appreciation for you, just a make do kind of call.

Anyway, I look at all these photos and I’m like wowwowow I’ve been blessed to know so many wonderful people. I’m excited to know some more, but y’all are in my heart 4 eva.

Once again if you are not tagged or not pictured, our friendship is real and I will probably still consider you my friend even if we don’t cross paths for YEARS. And I mean that. Don’t be a stranger 🩷🩷🩷

“o god, the eternal father”
performance art piece

———————————————

The word ‘communion’ can be defined as a Christian sacrament in which consecrated bread and wine are consumed as symbols for the realization of a spiritual union between Christ. It can also be defined as an intimate fellowship and rapport.

This piece was performed in defiance of the tendency to expedite the communion process. With store-bought bread, plastic cups, and plastic trays, we quickly eat bread and drink water as others hurry to get the platters to everyone as efficiently as possible. I fear we have forgotten the point.

With bread I baked myself and my own comfortable setting, I slowly cut into the loaf and eat one slice. I think about why I am doing this. I think about snow, the sun, flowers. I think about what matters. There is no rush.

When did we lose the value in taking our time? When did we decide we cannot ponder?

We have time.

song: god, turn me into a flower (weyes blood)
