To our beautiful queer family - it’s been one hell of a month already. We know you’re hurting like we are. What is happening in our country is reprehensible and unforgivable. We deserve so much better than this. We are so much better than this. The path ahead is wild and dangerous, but tenacity is etched into our collective DNA. Whatever and whomever we must fight, we will fight together. Whether with words, brushes or knives, we will rise above as we always have and always will. Lean into your craft and on your community. January 20th was just the beginning of our queer resistance. Stay vulnerable. Stay strong. Stay safe. We ❤️ you. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🇺🇸 #queerart #queer #transgender #transrights #transrightsarehumanrights #lgbtq🌈 #lgbtq🌈 #lgbtqia #lgbt #trans #translivesmatter #blacktranslivesmatter #nonbinary #queerpride #humanrights #artoftheday #artofinstagram #queerresistance #queerresistanceartshow

So if you, like me, are feeling scared and anxious and need somewhere to be tomorrow, come to Bishop & Wilde for this incredible event we’re hosting from 6 to 9 pm. There will be so many different queer and trans artists and musicians and performers and makers and all ticket sales benefit the Trans Continental Pipeline, which helps trans folks escape red states. We need to be in community now more than ever so I really hope to see you there! Also a quick note to say that no one will be turned away for lack of funds. #queerresistance

Hi Portland! With the event quickly approaching, I thought we should properly introduce ourselves. We’ll be masked, so now you know what our eyes look like if you want to say hi! I’m Ollie (he/they) and I’m a queer, neurodivergent, transmasculine artist and animal lover (@olliecreatesworlds). I own @intotheollieverse and work at @gooddogpdx and @warbyparker in NW PDX. Andrew (he/they) is a queer BIPOC wedding and event planner (@drew_nicorn). He owns @feteandfinesse and works at @letshopscotch. I’m sure you can deduce whom is whom. 😅 We’re excited to bring this show to life, get to know our community, and to help further the important and lifesaving work that @tcpipeline is doing. We’ll see you soon! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈#queer #queerpride #pdxart #pdxartist #queerartist #queerlove #bipoc #lgbtcommunity #lgbtq #fundraising #fundraiser #couplegoals #couplelove

Hey Folks! We're assembling a small army of queer artists in Portland, OR (and across the United States) and need your help!

The Queer Resistance Art Show & Fundraiser will take place on inauguration day (Jan 20th) in NW Portland (local artists) AND via an interactive online exhibit (US-based artists).

Funds raised at the event will benefit @tcpipeline, helping further their mission of helping relocate trans, queer, and non-binary folks to safer areas in the US.

If you're a queer visual artist (or musician) and want to participate, head to queerresistanceartshow.com/get-involved for artist guidelines and the submission form.

Join the resistance and help us take back January 20th, 2025. #queerart #queer #queerartists #LGBTQ #trans #transisbeautiful #transrightsarehumanrights #nonbinary #artshow #callforartists #portlandartist #portland #portlandoregon #gay #gaypride #fundraiser #queerresistance #queerresistanceartshow
