I’m 25 and I’ve lived in Liverpool for seven years. I’ve been involved in musical projects in some capacity since I was 14 - maybe even earlier. My parents were huge music lovers and really shaped and nurtured my own love for music from a young age; my mum through punk, shoegaze and ‘80s alternative, and my dad through his affinity for Madchester, house and acid house. It was eclectic and interesting, and it gave me the freedom to discover so much for myself.

I was an only child, so a lot of my early influences came from my parents. My very first gig I attended was Green Day at Old Trafford Cricket Ground at the age of 7. I had to be pulled out of school for it, and I remember telling my teacher at the time that I had a dentist appointment. I spent that evening on my mum and dad’s shoulders, and it was the most incredible first introduction to live music I could have ever asked for.

On the more electronic side of things, I remember my dad taking me to Beatherder when I was 14 - my first festival - and as we were walking into The Fortress, one of the dance stages, ‘This Is Acid’ by Maurice Joshua was playing, and the atmosphere was electric. I was sold from that moment.
