💜 CMN donors and partners are helping change the future for kids in Louisiana.

CMN support helped make @ololchildrens a reality when it opened in 2019 and continues to fund meaningful investments that impact children every day. From a new 3T MRI that is reducing wait times for non-emergent scans to Child Life education kits that help children better understand medical procedures and feel more prepared for their care, CMN dollars are improving both care and comfort for kids and families.

From advanced technology to compassionate support, CMN funding is making a difference for children and families every day.

Turns out, “play” can do a lot of work.

@KuiperEJ got a firsthand look at how the FMOL Health | @OLOLChildrens Child Life team helps kids prepare for procedures, find ways to cope and navigate some pretty tough days at the hospital.

Plus there was Bingo. And VR. And therapy dogs.

We’re continuing the conversation on chronic absenteeism and child health. Today, we spoke with more than 20 nurses, nurse practitioners, and social workers from Health Care Centers in Schools. A partner of @ololchildrens, they provide on-campus healthcare to students in East Baton Rouge Parish schools.

We talked about the barriers families face when a child is sick and how healthcare and education can work together to treat the whole child and keep students in the classroom.
