For this feature on Third Surface, we look at Uddipta, whose work under olshrimp moves in a direction that feels soft but deeply affecting.

At first glance the visuals feel light and almost playful, but the longer you stay with them, the more they open up. There is a quiet confidence in the way forms are built, rounded, fluid and never forced. Characters and creatures exist in their own space, not trying to explain themselves, just being. It creates a sense of intimacy that feels rare.

The work leans into digital painting with a gentle approach, where color, tone and texture carry more weight than detail or complexity.
