WORK IN PROGRESS 🎨
In my journey of exploring different mediums, I decided to experiment with papier-mâché. Funny enough, I’ve always had a thing for sculptural works, especially reliefs, because of the depth and 3D effect they create.
Because of my fascination with creating dimensional effects, I decided to explore papier-mâché as a way of pushing my creativity beyond the usual.
I’ve always aimed to create artworks that are far from the regular, works that encourage creativity, experimentation, and a different way of experiencing art. I genuinely enjoy exploring new ideas, techniques, and materials, and this is another step in that journey.
Still a work in progress… but I’m excited to see where this experiment leads. 🖌️✨

Decided to take a little break from painting. The aspect of this figure drawing that I find very interesting is the model's stomach, the ruffles of his singlet, the shades of light and dark showing his protruding stomach♥️♥️

Blood Beneath the Flag

Blood Beneath the Flag reflects on the human cost of violence and insecurity in contemporary Nigeria. The central figure, dressed in the symbolic green and white of the Nigerian flag, represents the nation in mourning, while her tears express the grief of countless lives affected by conflict.

The red beneath her symbolizes bloodshed, and the ghostly figures in the background evoke the persistent presence of terrorism and fear. Together, these elements reveal the emotional burden carried by individuals and communities living through ongoing violence.

Rather than depicting a single event, the painting speaks to the collective pain, resilience, and hope of a nation striving for peace despite its wounds.
