22/08/26: “For the Love of Love” - My First (Pre) Visual

Honestly, I was really nervous, directing a group of people you know are super talented makes you feel like you don’t want to let them down, but I’ve learnt in my time alive that you have to push those thoughts aside and trust the reason you wanted to create in the first place.

For me, that was having the opportunity to book this (massive) studio at half price, because why not, and making the most of the space by directing my first (pre)visual with just two hours, because why not.

I’m starting to learn more about how I create, how rest, deadlines, and distance interacts with my impulse to create, and I’m finding out so many interesting (sometimes obvious) things, like taking a break from the track I’m choreographing to, or re-watching my biggest inspirations to bring back the excitement of creating.

Internal monologue aside, thank you to everyone involved in this one, I am so grateful for all the trust, energy and support, especially for this first one of mine, couldn’t have asked for more. 🫶🏼

And to the essence of the piece, love in all of its depths.<3

Enter The Manosphere.

@razikdarji, @nomadic_libaax and I convinced people that it was a good idea to descend into a basement, take red pills, participate in competitions, witness my Handsome Squidward transformation, and experience a night of internet-fuelled chaos with us…

This was the first project I produced with @coda.fyi, and my first show in the Ditch.

🧠 I learned a lot.
😂 I laughed a lot.

None of it would have happened without a beautifully mad team:

@razikdarji
@nomadic_libaax
@elmi.original
@koshasha007
@jaelgodwinn
@marleyjames_bd (still waiting for my rematch after refusing to leave without a fight… 😂)

Special thanks to:

@liz_x_beth_ for transforming me into The Specimen. 🧪

@vondykestudio for capturing the beautiful madness.

And @shoreditchth for giving us both, the Ditch and the opportunity to bring this corner of internet culture to life.

Thanks to everyone who came down the rabbit hole with us.

Until the next @barbicancentre shaped rabbit hole… 🕳️

We got to do a show in Shoreditch Town Hall 🎉!

I wanted to turn the ditch into a Manosphere immersive party - people took red pills and played Kahoot, won Rolexes, people were aura farming, and saw handsome squidward in the flesh.

THANKS SO MUCH TO THE AMAZING TEAM -

Wow 🤩 and I still can’t believe I performed at Pride in London. In front of 10.000 people 🌈✨

Performing Superpower with my sister Lovita was more than just a performance it was a full-circle moment. To share a song we wrote together about Black excellence, embracing who you are, and owning your superpower meant everything to me. Something shifted in me that day.

Thank you, God, for allowing me to step into my greatness and share my gift with the world. Thank you to everyone who made this possible the choreographer, dancers, team, and everyone who supported us every step of the way.#

First time performing our song **Superpower** on the main stage at Trafalgar Square for @prideinlondon alongside my brother @lifeitoya … and I’m still trying to process it.

From Thessaloniki, Greece, to now being based in London as proud Greek Nigerians, performing in front of over 10,000+ people felt absolutely surreal. 💙🤍💚

This is a moment we’ll never forget.

Superpower is the song of the summer. ☀️✨
Go stream it now and let us know what you think!
