Some dear friends ft. A mated pair of bald eagles eating fish guts on the iced over surface of Williams Fork reservoir in Grand County Colorado reminded me that: people like certainty more than they like hope, this does not mean pessimism is wise.

I’m not crying you’re crying.

While I couldn’t be more excited to share that in 2026 I will be moving to Walnut Creek FULL TIME!! Unfortunately, this does mean that I’ve decided to leave Coal Creek. You know what they say, after 6 years, all good things must come to an end.

Becoming Coach Chris used be a far off dream, so as we keep chasing your dreams, you all have already helped me achieve some of mine.

I want to say thank you to every family in the community who supported me, Cheyenne, and the junior golf program. Also want to give a shoutout to the Coal Creek Pros; Taylor, Joey, David Baril, and Jed will forever be Coal Creek legends. That team created a ridiculous amount of great players and not by accident. Glad we got to be part of the OG days at CC.

And to ALL of the college/high school crew.. I truly could not have done any of this without you guys & gals. We will miss the early morning camps, long hot summer days filled with laughter, playing golf in the dark, lunches and popsicles with Juniors, and of course all the love you gave Cheyenne.

This post is long and not about going viral. It’s a look back at some of the special people and occasions we experienced.

Chy and I can’t wait to get out to Walnut Creek this spring and we hope to have you all stop by to say hi. We have lots of camps and programs for all ages and skill levels. Now let’s dream big and go chase ‘em!!
