Eight institutions. One League. United for mental health. 💚

The Summit League and all eight member institutions are joining @HilinskisHope for Student-Athlete Mental Health Week!

Together, we’re raising awareness, breaking the stigma, and reminding every student-athlete that their mental health matters—on and off the court, field, track, and pool.

We’re in. 💚 Are you?

✨ 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐫 | 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 ✨

Our next Trailblazer feature honors Chris Crutchfield, a leader whose journey reflects full-circle impact.

A former multi-sport student-athlete for the @omavs (football and men’s basketball), Crutchfield now serves as head coach of the @omahambb program. Last season, he led the Mavericks to a conference championship and the program’s first NCAA DI Tournament appearance, earning Coach of the Year honors along the way.

From competitor to championship coach, Chris Crutchfield embodies the spirit of Black History Month, demonstrating how leadership and mentorship create a legacy that extends far beyond the game.

Today we’re highlighting @omahasaac and their annual 𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐯𝐬, a special event that brings Maverick student-athletes together to give back to students from Washington Elementary.

Each team raised funds to shop for gifts for their assigned students, then spent the day presenting those gifts, playing games, and creating lasting holiday memories together.❄️🎁❤️#SeasonOfService #SummitLeagueSAAC
