ART IS REVOLUTION — A SACRED RECAP.

We are making art inside a polycrisis. None of it pauses while we create.

Together with @the.beyond.academy, we explored embodied liberation, consciousness, and conscious creatorship for our times through movement, music, somatics, and leadership.

With special guests Emma Trainor, Emilie, Drëëmy, Omar, and Lyssia, each conversation opened new pathways into revolutionary principles, collective liberation, and the power of creating with intention.

Creativity isn’t about transcending the moment. It’s about meeting it head-on, heart open.

It’s been our time.

“O attained ones, grace is from you, I am orphaned and estranged… I have thrown myself upon your mercy. Have compassion on this state of mine, weeping and weeping, I have come into the sacred circle (meydan).” Şah Hatayi (1487–1524), Persian ruler and mystical poet whose verses continue to echo through the sacred music and spiritual traditions of Anatolia.

A glimpse into our recent journey through the ancient lands of Mesopotamia, following the threads of an ancient wisdom that continues to breathe through sacred places, music, prayer, and the hearts of those who keep these traditions alive.

This December, we invite you to continue the journey with LILA in Konya, Türkiye, for the 753rd Şeb-i Arus, the annual commemoration of Rumi’s “Wedding Night.”

📅 December 12–18, 2026

We’ll explore the living traditions of Sufism in the city where Rumi’s legacy continues to inspire seekers from around the world, in the company of living Sufi masters and musicians who carry these traditions forward.

✨Comment KONYA to receive the itinerary and registration details.✨

Şeb-i Arus - the Wedding Night 🤍

Every December, Konya fills with dervishes and pilgrims from around the world to honor the night Mevlana Rumi returned to the Beloved. He asked that his passing not be mourned, but celebrated as a reunion.

This year, LILA is gathering there for our first Şeb-i Arus retreat.
🗓 December 12–18
📍 Think Hotel, in the heart of Konya, Türkiye

For seven days we'll stay rooted in one place, hosting our own gatherings and workshops while joining the sema ceremonies, music, and remembrance unfolding across the city all week.

We'll be in the company of our elders Cem Baba and Sharif Baba, our sisters Ayna Ayna, and a global family of seekers.

✨Space is limited. If you feel the call comment KONYA to receive more information and reserve your place.✨

🍂🖤 AUTUMN ALCHEMY: MEET OUR DJ, OMAR AENA 🖤🍂

What happens when ancient rhythms meet the pulse of the present? When music becomes a prayer, and the dance floor becomes a place to remember who we are? ✨🌍

We’re excited to welcome Omar Aena to the decks for our Halloween Ecstatic Dance! 🎶

🌙 Meet Omar

Omar is a cultural storyteller, community weaver, and DJ whose sets create portals between worlds. Rooted in his Middle Eastern heritage and the Sufi path, he weaves traditional songs with electronic soundscapes to create a journey that moves through cultures, emotions, and states of being.

As the founder of Dance Beyond NYC and creator of the LILA Series, which explores devotional music from around the world, Omar brings a deep intention to every dance floor he enters.

His sets unfold like a living prayer — beginning with slow, grounding rhythms, building toward ecstatic peaks, and eventually guiding us back into softness and stillness. 💫

And at AUTUMN ALCHEMY, what better way to celebrate Halloween than by letting the music carry us beyond the familiar? 🍁🌀

Come release, surrender, explore, and let yourself be moved. No choreography. No expectations. Just you, the music, and the magic of moving together.

🎭 Costumes encouraged and welcomed, but not mandatory. All bodies welcome.

We've just returned from eleven days in southeastern Türkiye with a group of travelers from around the world, led by our guides Cem Baba, Sherif Baba, and the women of Ayna Ayna.

We traveled through the lands of ancient Mesopotamia, where many faiths have lived side by side for centuries. We prayed in monasteries, mosques, and the shrines of prophets and saints, watched the sun rise over a mountaintop of fallen stone gods, and stood where humans first gathered to worship more than 11,000 years ago. Each evening we came together in music, zikr, and sema. This land keeps inviting us back.

✨We return to Konya for Şeb-i Arus, the anniversary of Rumi’s passing, from December 12–18. Comment "Konya" to get on the waiting list if you'd like more info on how to join us. ✨

Tucked away in a riad, in the heart of the Old Medina of Fez, gathered with beautiful friends @omaraena

It's company like this that keeps us in remembrance of Him - a gathering becomes a garden and a doorway to the Beloved.

الحمد لله على نعمة الصحبة والمحبة 🤍

Alhamdulillah for the blessing of companionship and love.
