We’ve got 2 more shows left in OC and San Diego! All thanks to our wonderful audiences, we’ve raised over $1 million to support orphans globally. @humanappeal_usa is doing great work and it’s a blessing to be a part of it.

@jessicacaremoor + @iamrimarkable have something to say. Detroit is home to the pioneers of electronic music, and some of the most talented musicians, producers, DJ’s on the planet.

The Detroit sound is gritty & black & full of love.

That’s why my poems sound the way they sound.

I didn’t learn how to write poems in a university classroom. I learned by reading, studying poets. I learned from listening to my real life teachers- Baraka, Sanchez, Shange, Clifton, My Daddy, Cortez @gilscottheron @thelastpoetsofficial & so many more….

I write from my heart. I’m not one kind of poet. I’ve been recording my poems with musicians since 1997. I got blues poems, jazz poems, hip hop poems, a punk rock poetry album & a gorgeous soul music project in the works….

Still, this project, THE HOUSE THAT POEMS BUILT was me showing up honest, the poems found the music & the collaborations were so beautiful & organic.

I’m very proud of this work! Go take a listen, turn it up in your whip & ask your favorite DJ to play it!!!

It was a great pleasure touring with these awesome folks. @humanappeal_usa is an incredible organization. We raised about $1 million dollars thanks to the generous folks who came out to the shows. One more show for me in Vancouver this Sunday.

The Comedy Takeover has been making its way around the USA, and let me tell you, Houston, we DIDN’T have a problem!

The people showed up and showed out! The comedians were absolutely brilliant, the energy was amazing, and best of all, it was all to raise money for a good cause! 💜

@jessicacaremoor & @aproposmusic been doing these beautiful soulful duets together for some years now.
Won’t Go Away features poetry by jCm, A soul stirring verse & vocals by AP and music by @mrjakebass

Was fun to share another stage last night at @theprestigedetroit

A recording project is otw.

Apropos has David Ruffin chops & his song “10th Floor” is on the top 30 Billboard Charts.

Detroit based artists have to work so hard for their careers to break open. Nobody gives it to us.

This year we are two independent artists on the Grammy ballot!!
#fyc Spoken Word Album Of The Year and Best R & B Single.

MashAllah. When in Dallas for a show, you gotta stop by Valley Ranch and take in a great Friday prayer reminder.

@themuslimboxer Muhsin Cason is one of those rare personalities where calling him “The Muslim Boxer” almost undersells the package. Baltimore born, undefeated as a professional, and sharpened through rounds with world-class fighters, he carries real pedigree in the ring. But the hands aren’t his only weapon. Muhsin can rhyme, teach, entertain and make people laugh without becoming a caricature of himself. He’s a Hafidh who has used rap creatively to communicate faith, while his comedy and personality have built an audience far beyond boxing. That combination is what makes him different: he can make you laugh, make you think, spit something memorable, then step between the ropes and remind you that the fighting part is very real. Hands, bars, humor, faith, charisma. Muhsin Cason is genuinely one of one. 🥊🎤🔥
