🔥 Why does eating too much durian make you feel “feverish”?

Explained by my cousin @lelycintari
Nutrition Specialist / Lecturer, Udayana University

🦠 Gut fermentation
Excess sugar reaches the large intestine → fermented by gut bacteria → gas + mild inflammation → you may feel hot, weak, or uncomfortable.

🧬 Individual sensitivity matters
Some people are more sensitive to:
• gut inflammation
• acid reflux
• histamine release

So symptoms vary: one person feels hot, another gets diarrhea, another feels fine.

🚨 Important fact
Durian does NOT cause infection or true fever.
The “fever” feeling is usually metabolic heat + mild inflammatory response, not illness.

✅ Tip: Eat in moderation, drink water, and avoid large portions at once.

Durian is powerful enjoy it wisely. 😉
