Some henna I did for my friends!! It was fun to do styles that I typically don’t do. The wrap around bracelet is such a cute idea, and I just love the nature aspect of all of the designs.

I’m glad I was able to do this for them before my big move. I’m moving to Columbus in two days and I’m so excited!! But it’s finally hitting me that I’m actually gonna be relocating, and now I’m already missing everyone :(

But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do

Wow I did not realize I took a one-month hiatus from this account. I have been so busy with traveling for PhD visits (and Puerto Rico for funsies)! It’s such an exciting time cuz wdym I’ll be moving to an entirely new city in like 4 months?!? Now that traveling has died down and I’m not as busy, I wanna get back into posting regularly.

But for now, here are throwback designs I did for my friends 🫶🏾 Love friends because they get to be my hand models for my social media, so thank you guys for your service 🫡

Day 18 Prompt: Dome

This past week was so insanely busy. I was traveling all weekend, and then just extremely tired to post some henna. And it doesn’t stop cuz I’m traveling tomorrow again😭

This is a dome-like design I did for my friend using @gopihenna cones. It was so fun to do henna for her, and the color came out AMAZING!!

One reason why I love henna so much is because of its versatility. You can make ANY design with henna. It allows me to be artistically free, and it challenges me to step outside of my comfort zone.

One of my favorite memories was working at my local fair. So many kids came up to me and asked “Can I have a dragon? Can I get a lion? What about Spider-man?” When I told them I can do it, their eyes lit up. And that’s why I do henna—so people can showcase their personality through a temporary tattoo.

So enjoy some of my more fun designs I have been able to do for others :)

(@omensshadow I hope you like the dragon)
