The performance no one saw coming. 🎷✨

Little backstory….I grew up as a violinist, but when I decided to mime the legend, Lagbaja, for my Omidan Ogun 2026 talent performance, I knew I had to get the saxophone part right!

So, I called my younger brother, who is a saxophonist, and he taught me how to hold the sax properly and move around with it comfortably.

Growing up, I loved Lagbaja, and I never imagined I would one day get to pay homage to him on a pageant stage🥹❤️

For my talent performance at Omidan Ogun 2026, I took on the character of Female Lagbaja, using my performance to celebrate his artistry, his iconic identity, and his contribution to African music and culture.

Sir Lagbaja, you are a legend, and it was an honour to draw inspiration from you. This shoot is an extension of that performance and my little way of celebrating an icon whose work I grew up loving. ❤️

Lagbaja represents the face of the faceless; I represent THE FACE OF WOMEN WHO REFUSE TO REMAIN VOICELESS.

From being a little girl who admired your artistry to paying homage to you through my own talent, this journey means so much to me. 🥹✨
