I thought it was “just period pain”… until it wasn’t. ❤️‍🩹
I lived with pain, bloating and digestive symptoms that slowly became my “normal.” They weren’t.
I was diagnosed with bowel endometriosis, and recently underwent major surgery to remove the affected part of my large intestine. It was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but it also gave me hope for a healthier future.
I’m sharing this journey because I know there are so many women silently living with pain, wondering if what they’re experience is normal. It isn’t.
If you have severe period pain, painful bowel movements, chronic pelvic pain, bloating, pain during intimacy, or symptoms that affect your quality of life, please don’t ignore them. Listen to your body and seek medical advice. Early diagnosis can change everything.

A huge thank you to my incredible surgeon, the entire medical team, and everyone at @omilosiaso for their exceptional care, professionalism and kindness. You gave me the best possible support during one of the most difficult moments of my life.

And to everyone who sent flowers, messages and prayers… thank you. Your love truly carried me through. ❤️

If sharing my story encourages even one woman to seek answers sooner, then it was worth sharing.

My abdominal surgery was successful, and I’m incredibly relieved and grateful that it is finally behind me.
It was a serious operation, so the next chapter is all about healing. My doctors have advised approximately 1 week staying in the hospital & 6–8 weeks of recovery, which means I will need to slow down and won’t be as active here or on the bike for a while.

For someone who is always travelling, riding and creating, pressing pause isn’t easy, but right now my health has to come first. I’ll take things one day at a time and listen to my body without putting pressure on myself to return too quickly.
I may share a few updates along the way, but for now, it’s time to rest, recover and come back stronger. 🤍
Thank you @omilosiaso
