I’m starting to build out a percussion rack. Using the @omnitone_music Rhythmi to sequence the @wmdevices Clutch and @qubitelectronix Surface. I’m loving the Rhythmi, but will need to sit down and drill myself until I remember what all the knobs are. Maybe I need new readers, but the labels are too hard to read….

#patchnotes

This #modularsynth patch was built up from @qubitelectronix #chordv2 as the main voice in Unison polymode. V/Oct from bloomv2 , with each channel running a slight faster ratio than the last on a 4 step sequence. The pumping is a sidechain compressed by cascade based on audio from a

Chord then goes through aurora with dirtverb alt firmware, then on into databender. @ryk_modular #envymachine is providing both an envelope patched into chord to move the wave table and a set of LFOs. 2 LFOs go through to the effects units to mix on aurora and bend CV on data bender.

The third lfo modulares the energy from @omnitone_music #rythmi. As energy increases Taiko is triggered more. Pitch there comes from the tom cc. Because the kick CV > agg CV, in this patch it's a modulation that emphasis the single percussive voice when it triggers at the same time as Tom CV, giving the taiko an emphasis on beat.

@bitwig connect 4/12 is the off screen hero that enabled this recording to be so much clearer than my others. Now I'm not reliant on a quiet house and a phone mic to capture my jams!

The cherry tree by the waves

I built the #envymachine by @ryk_modular and it's a blast. Both building and playing. It's a CV generation module and here's it's running LFO and 'character' duty.

@qubitelectronix #chordv2 is the voice, #databender is doing some call and response. @omnitone_music is sequencing drums from #surface and #akemiestaiko.

The bonsai is purely for vibes.
