DJ, producer and founder of @hermusicequality and @speed_bpm, @cloudyku.her breaks down the details of how underground music scenes from Taiwan to Melbourne overlap.

Taiwan’s electronic rave scenes has deep influence from their live band culture within punk/rock music. Across Taipei and similarly in Melbourne, the scenes are DIY, deeply queer and always evolving, upheld by collectives such as @duttyworldwide and @umami.collective and venues like @pawnshop_taipei and @final_taipei.

@omniversal_hum presents the highly anticipated debut Australian performance from the enigmatic London based band @moin_band on TUE 08 JUL.

Moin are a three-piece band featuring Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the electronic outfit Raime, alongside visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti. Their music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres—grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock—through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. Employing both conventional and unique compositional techniques, their sound is marked by a visceral immediacy that comes to life in full force during their live performances. Moin walk the line between the reassuringly familiar and the unsettlingly inquisitive.

Support comes from local sound adventurists @w0rlds0nly. Named after Megan Alice Clune’s short-lived yet seminal zine World’s Only that explored the intersection of classical music, experimental subgenres, and the indie ethos, Worlds Only is Alister Hill (guitar), Darren Lesaguis (spoken word), Jenny Trinh AKA Wytchings (electronics/vocals), Justin Tam AKA Tzekin (saxophone), Reginald Harris (bass) and Thomas William Smith AKA T. Morimoto (electronics).

Tickets are flying for this one - don't miss out 🎟️
