Roaming 🇮🇸 Reykjavik, pt. 3! 🥰🇮🇸🎉 Last night, @nicole__ivy 💖 and I saw the Northern Lights, however, in order to get the full effect, you need to be away from light pollution (the kp index was 5)!! 🌌 I’ll try my best to see them when outta Reykjavik (if Mother Nature cooperates 🙏🏽), as it’s actually my dream. 🥹 I have no idea how to structure posts (I can do whatever I want on my page, clearly 😂), so this is a mishmash of sweets, drinks, sights, nature, and whatever else. They could all be their own posts, but… that’s a lot of “work,” and I’d rather look at it this way! 🥰 In many ways, I feel like our trip started tonight, at the Sky Lagoon (post/reels next), because we’re here for nature/beauty/peace… this is all just extra shit (it’s something I’m great at in 🗽 and do enjoy, so I can find things anywhere). 😅 I once found an amazing chocolate cake in a tiny bakery in a town with a population of… 118! 😂 Tomorrow (well, today 😅), we’ll be fully immersed in nature (I sure hope), so I’m excited!! 💦🏔️🌳🌊 🇮🇸

Hallo allemaal.

Iceland in December feels like traveling to another world❄️🇮🇸🌌 If you’re thinking about booking a winter trip to Iceland, consider this your sign. December in Iceland means snow-covered landscapes, Christmas lights twinkling, frozen waterfalls, geothermal hot springs, cozy Reykjavík nights, dramatic black sand beaches, glaciers, and one of the best times of year to chase the Northern Lights. Yes, the days are short. Yes, the weather can change in approximately 47 seconds. 😂 But winter is also when Iceland becomes especially magical, in its own snow globe! A few things to know before visiting Iceland in December: ❄️ Expect only around 4–5 hours of daylight, so plan your sightseeing strategically 🌌 December is Northern Lights season, but sightings are never guaranteed ♨️ Add a geothermal lagoon or hot spring to your itinerary 🚗 Winter driving conditions can be unpredictable, so guided Iceland winter tours are a great option, I recommend @gate1travel or @reykjavikexcursions 🧥 Pack waterproof, wool layers, warm boots, gloves, and wind protection 🌅 Don’t fear the limited daylight. Iceland’s long winter sunrises and sunsets are part of the experience If Iceland has been sitting on your bucket list, don’t automatically wait for summer. Visiting Iceland in winter gives you an entirely different version of the country, and December might just be the most atmospheric month to experience it. Save this for your Iceland trip planning and send it to the person you’d chase the Northern Lights with. ✨ #icelandtrip #IcelandTravel #icelandindecember #icelandwinter #winteriniceland
