Today was about keeping a promise to myself.

I remember signing up for fitness challenges back in 2018, 2019, feeling like I was all in. But over the years, I kept starting and not finishing. I made excuses, told myself I couldn’t do it, and didn’t always own up to giving up on myself.

I kept looking for the easier route because I didn’t believe I could do it.

I signed up for today’s HYROX sim because I owed it to myself to do what I kept saying I would do. I was scared, but I needed to give myself a chance instead of deciding I couldn’t.

And I did it. I finished. 🥹

For all the times I gave up on myself, today I pushed through. I kept my promise, and I’m proud of myself.

I am able. I am grateful. I can do this, and I will keep going.

Thank you @voltaje_vaquero for introducing me to this community. And thank you @coach_omode and everyone at @omode_training_house for all the support and encouragement. You are the definition of community, and I’m grateful to feel that every time I’m here. 🤍

Thank you @monyd for capturing these special moments

A 6 minute video that I hope you’ll take a moment to listen to.

Chose to compete today and took 1st in the Athena division, however, I was the only one that choose to compete so 1st was guaranteed. Lots of feelings around that.

Thank you to my coaches, friends, family, and @omode_training_house for continuing to push me to be my best.

The secret is out… Laura did her first HYROX Pro Solo and she CRUSHED it! 🥹🔥

Not only did she finish, she took 3rd place in her age group. 🥉

What makes this one even more special is getting to see the work before the race. I’ve watched Laura train and push herself in class, and then I had the opportunity to be behind the camera and watch it all come together on race day. 🎥

She went into her first Pro Solo “nervous, scared about finishing, and worried about the wall balls. But she finished and realized she had way more left in the tank than she thought.”

Watching her prove to herself that she could do something she wasn’t sure she could do was so inspiring. ❤️‍🔥

@osidefoster , you did THAT. What challenge are you saying yes to next? 👀🏁

What’s on your plate doesn’t just fill you up, food is fuel for your goals. If your fuel isn’t propelling you towards your goals it’s time to rethink what you’re eating.
