Sometimes people-pleasing begins as a child’s understandable attempt to feel safe, loved or accepted. After all, we are wired for love and connection.

But the beliefs we formed when we were younger may no longer be supporting us. In fact, they may be getting in the way of authentic love and connection because they don’t reflect our true nature or what we need today.

Part of self-development is shining a gentle and loving light on the part of our Inner Child that learned to contort itself in order to fit in - and allowing our wiser, adult self to soothe it and, with self-compassion, choose differently.

With hypnotherapy, it’s never too late to meet your Inner Child with compassion and begin to create something different. 💓

Hi!

I've been meaning to share these images for ages, but about a month ago my phone was stolen and I had so much phone related admin to do that I didn't get round to posting these.

A couple of months ago I got a dm from the lovely Sally of @ompompom to ask if I'd like to participate in a photoshoot for her latest collection of beautiful handmade knitwear. She didn't know at the time, but I had literally JUST told a couple of friends that I wanted to model more and get more comfortable in front of the camera. So of course I said yes!

I had a really lovely time being photographed by @rebeccabrookerphoto & I was reunited with the delightful @maryjanemakes (who I'd modelled with a few weeks prior!)

As I'm shifting how I move with DorcasCreates; I've been really enjoying saying yes to new opportunities and seeing what I'm able to manifest when I speak aloud the things I want to do. I am naturally very secretive and typically keep my vulnerable wishes very close to my chest. Right now I'm trying to find the balance of sharing what I want and seeing who or what shows up when I'm open about what I want to do.

So as my friend @story_of_two_magpies always says when they're blessed with gifts from the universe - "Thank you, More Please" 🤲✨

This July the Sussex Guild will exhibit and demonstrate crafts at Michelham Priory for the 59th consecutive year. Founded by a small group of crafts people with the ethos: “to be a community of mutually supporting, individual crafts people,” the Guild organised its first craft show at Michelham in the summer of 1968.

A Grade I listed Tudor house, Michelham Priory is surrounded by England’s largest water-filled medieval moat. Combine a visit to the past with talking to the Guild’s contemporary craft makers, from whom you may buy directly or commission bespoke items.

A wide range of contemporary crafts will be displayed in marquees on the lawns as well as in the Elizabethan barn. You’ll find ceramics, textiles, jewellery, leatherwork, stone carving, pewter, wood, glass, furniture and printmaking.

Wow, just finished the Contemporary Craft festival at Bovey Tracey. !
Such a wonderful event with a great bunch of talented makers, such great company and inspiration all around us.
Thank you to all our amazing customers who came and bought and enjoyed our stand.
I really wanted to take more photos of you all wearing your outfits but as you know , it was a busy show.

Sharing a few of my highlights and favourite makers from @craftfestival last weekend. I love the Saturday night social where the makers get a chance to leave their stands and take in all the joyous displays of everyone else’s work.
