City of Dance — Koyaanisqatsi

This past June, L.A. Dance Project performed City of Dance — Koyaanisqatsi at Hollywood Forever, where dance joined the films, concerts, and gatherings that bring the city together among the resting places of Hollywood's founders and stars.

City of Dance moved through Southern California's landmarks, bringing free performance to museums, gardens, parks, and the edge of the sea. Set to Philip Glass's Koyaanisqatsi, it invited the city, and whoever happened to be passing through, to stop and watch.

I was inspired by the song “Llorando” by Rebekah Del Rio to create a duet piece called “la vuelta” Here’s the start of it and excited to finish it one day. I had a blast creating on these two beautiful talents! Thanks @omrimishael @taraaghaian for dancing and @masonwfilms for shooing this! was lucky enough to spend june dancing dances by @mchollander @jamarrobertsofficial @bandofoutsiders25 @dimitrichamblas @benjaminmillepied around LA with some of my favorite dancers in this city. we learned the dances from the delightful @jacqueline.bulnes @lindzoidjones @tear27 and @abwyman and @nshreevemoon produced the hell out of it and @shainarosee fixed my dress every day when i ripped it and it was a blast
