USA Yoga Nationals reminds me what can happen when people devote themselves to something they love and come together to celebrate one another. To spend a weekend surrounded by people who are intentional, courageous, and committed to growing is such a gift.

This year, I came back hoping for more. I finished 9th in the country, earned my highest competition score yet, and performed postures on the National stage that once felt impossible for me. I’m incredibly proud of that. But when I sat down afterward and wrote a list of everything I was proud of, almost none of it had to do with my placement.

I wrote: I was brave when I was scared. I trusted my coaches. I listened to my intuition. I stayed calm. I met myself where I was. I was kind to myself.

Those feel like the real reason I am on this path.

To my coaches, @kimtangyoga and Faye, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and continuing to show me what’s possible. To my teammates, thank you for inspiring me every day. It’s an honor to learn and grow alongside each of you. Truly you are all rock stars in my eyes.

And to Terrel, watching you step onto the National stage and perform Mountain is something I’ll never forget. I know what it took to make that decision, and I couldn’t be more proud of you. Thank you for practicing with me, believing in me, growing with me, and sharing this beautiful life together. I love you so much. 🥹😭🥰

To my parents, thank you for traveling across the country, volunteering, cheering us on, and reminding me that I’m loved through every high and every low.

And thank you to everyone who watched, volunteered, judged, donated, sent a message, cheered from the audience or from around the world, and to every athlete who shared the stage with us. You helped make this one of the most meaningful weekends of my life.

I’m so grateful to have found a community of people who love this practice as deeply as I do and are devoted to becoming the fullest expression of themselves. It’s an honor to learn alongside you, grow alongside you, and share this path together.

What an incredible experience!
My first-ever USA Yoga competition is in the books, and I’m feeling so grateful, inspired, and proud.

I placed 6th in the semi-finals and 7th overall in the Women’s 35–49 division, but more than anything, I walked away with a full heart and so much motivation to keep growing and exploring my expansion!

Gratitude to my coach @kimtangyoga for your guidance, encouragement, and belief in me. Gratitude to my teammates for sharing the journey and cheering each other on. Gratitude to myself for showing up, putting in the work, and stepping onto that stage for the first time.

Congratulations to every single competitor. I’m in awe of the talent, dedication, and heart I witnessed all weekend. I’m honored to have shared the stage with you.

Raise your hand if the holidays leave you feeling a little drained. 🙋‍♀️

The holidays can be beautiful, but they can also bring their fair share of emotional challenges—rushing from one task to the next, family gatherings that push your buttons, and the never-ending to-do list.

When things start to feel overwhelming, I turn to these tools for emotional support:
🌿 High-Frequency Essential Oils: Diffusing Frankincense or Balance helps create calm, while applying Lavender to my pulse points keeps me grounded.
🌳 Nature: A simple walk outdoors works wonders for clearing my mind and shifting my energy.
🧘🏻‍♀️ Movement & Tapping: Yoga or EFT tapping helps me release stress and reset emotionally.
✨ Stillness & Breathwork: Just 5 minutes of meditation or deep breathing can completely shift my mood.

These practices help me stay calm, centred, and present—even during the busiest time of year.
