POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Trying to stay sane one stitch at a time. The slow season is slower than ever, and the world is falling apart, but that doesn't stop me from making music and art!
I've been working on this Coogi inspired hoodie for @davidgwils . He liked the hood from the last hoodie I made when I pattern tested for @stonesparrowcrochet so I figured out how to incorporate it. still have to make the rest of the boarder and the sleeves, but it has certainly been a thing to do while not "working." (Hire me please!)
I haven't been making much music lately. I've been singing for rehearsals for @epicplayersnyc Rent in June.
This is my latest release available on all the streamings, Fuck it All, backed up by @rolling.rainbows108 @funguyinthewoods @chefbassdad and @paulpetsu .
I am fucking pissed. And you should be too.
Shout out to my little buddy Moon Eyes for keeping me company @onceuponafelony

Sing Sing Prison Museum fellow, Noelle (@onceuponafelony), reflects on their experience visiting @easternstatepen:

@easternstatepen was my first prison museum visit since working with @singsingmuseum. Though museums about prisons make me feel… unsure,
I AM SURE that I learned-shared-discussed hard things with other people. Things made me sad and sometimes hopeless but the art exhibits and the Prisons Today installation made it all worth it.

We are thrilled to welcome Noëlle Richardson to the SSPM team! Noëlle joins us for 13 weeks as a part of a grant funded fellowship supported by the social justice initiative of @centralsynagogue in NYC. They bring a unique perspective as a justice impacted person and ARTivist who is focused on storytelling and art therapy as essential tools for deep healing and civic engagement. Their projects, @onceuponafelony, explore themes of freedom and self-representation, while creating spaces for others to share their stories. Through performance art and installations, Noëlle sparks public discourse on mass incarceration. At SSPM, we share the belief in art’s power to inspire conscience, compassion and change, and are so pleased to have another creative individual working with us. Please drop a word of welcome in the comments below!
