The GMW-B5000 has to be my favorite G-Shock. I really love the references to the original G-Shock and the overall feel of this piece. It’s a heavy but extremely comfortable watch!

I dont believe in beater watches, but I if I had to choose a beater, it would be this GMW-B5000C!

My new favorite daily beater at the moment?👀

After owning this steel G-Shock for about a month now I have to conclude that I’ve worn it quite a bit! And that’s kind of weird as I never thought I would ever daily a quartz watch again. I love my resin square G-Shocks, especially my DW-5000R. But I don’t really like wearing a resin watch with a shirt. And since I currently have an office job where a shirt is required, the DW-5000R and my other G-Shocks live in the watchbox. Some people however, like the master Kikuo Ibe himself, can pull it off to wear a resin G-Shock with a shirt. And I’m a bit jealous at those who can pull it off. But it’s just not my cup of tea.

I do enjoy wearing this G-Shock with a shirt though due to its steel construction. It’s not a dress watch at all of course, but it works so much better with formal clothes compared to the resin g-Shocks in my opinion. And the functionality is perhaps what I enjoy most. I use the alarms to remind me when It’s time to take a break and the stopwatch to time all sorts of (completely useless) things like how long it’s taking me to get to work etc.

So adding this steel G-Shock to my collection was a great move. I always grab it when I don’t know which mechanical watch I want to wear, or when I’m in a hurry.

Neil’s vintage Omega Ploprof gets a lot of love 🥰 when he wears it. An iconic piece from 1977. It was first sold in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and has found its way to the other side of the world 🌍 now. Neil’s even got an extract of the Omega archives for it making it super cool. 😎
